Electronic Portfolio

Here is my e-portfolio I started: http://mikevinh.portfoliolounge.com/

I chose portfolio lounge from the reader’s comments on the site that showed the top free 15 portfolio sites. http://designinstruct.com/roundups/free-online-portfolio/ There are a lot of positive comments regarding this site. It is fairly easy to use. There is not too much to consider on this site. They have different layouts and projects to create. Once a project is added, then adding photos is easy too.

I browsed many other e-portfolios on portfolio lounge to see what people are using the site for and it is a great way to brand the person or their business. Pictures can say a thousand words and these portfolios are no different. It is a way to tell a story about a person and how he or she wants to be identified.

I could use a portfolio a number of ways. It can show my interests, connections, and business all in one portfolio. Each project could have it’s own storyboard or brand. It would be a great way to show off my skills, if someone wanted to check out my work. There are different layouts so I could use it however I wanted to according to the type of viewers.I could use it both professional and personally.

What I want a portfolio about me is that I am creative, but like to be practical. I have many different interests that make me who I am. Having a portfolio will give me a way to brand myself. I learned that there are more than Pinterests or Google photos to show people’s interests. There are more creative sites that people can link to show off his or her talents. These are good web tools.

We all have different stories

There is no right or wrong way to start a blog. We all put our pants on the same way; one leg at a time. So, we are no different from other people. Whether you are White, Black, Asian, Latino, Middle Eastern, Native American or live in a different country; we all are humans. The only difference is, our experiences that we have lived. The situations and circumstances in which we go through in our lives makes us who we are, as a person.

I think bloggees(def. - readers who read blogs), read blogs for a couple reasons. First, the information in the blog resonates with the bloggee, and he or she wants to feel a part of the story. Second, there is some intrinsic motivation that keeps the bloggee interested in reading more. Obviously, I could think of a lot more, but let's keep it simple. In this blog,  I would like to do the latter.

Hopefully, I can keep you, the bloggee, motivated enough to keep on reading my blogs.  I have been through some tough times, but I have never given up. I think quitting is not the answer if something does not go your way. In my next blog, I'll talk more about my story and how a medical condition changed my life....
